President – Jenn Zaur
Hi, my name is Jenn Zaur and I am excited to be the PTO President for the 22-23 school year. I have a 5th and 3rd grader at San Tan, a 7th grader at Sossaman and a sophomore at Higley High (ack!). I have been in education for 22 years first as teacher and for the last ten years at the university teaching future teachers! I have helped support the PTO for many years and am looking forward to leading our PTO and helping to support the needs of our school and community.
VP of Finance – Kim Gibson
Hello, my name is Kim Gibson and I am the VP of Finance for the 202-23 school year! Our girls will be in 6th and 2nd grades at San Tan next year. I have a background in nonprofit operations and fundraising both as an employee and volunteer for multiple organizations over the past 15 years. I am very excited to now be a part of PTO and to have the ability to utilize my experience to benefit the administration, teachers and students at San Tan.
VP of Activities – Tina Nerland
I was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and grew up in Elkhorn, Nebraska. We have lived in Arizona since 2002. I live here in San Tan Ranch and have since 2011. My husband and I have been married since 2004 and have two handsome sons, Brolin (7) and Cash (6). I will have a 1st grader and a 2nd grader attending San Tan Elementary and taking part in the Spanish Immersion program. I am a REALTOR with ProSmart Realty and have been in the industry for over 20 years. I love to plan events for all ages so naturally when the VP of Activities came up, I knew it would be a great fit. If I am not working with a Real Estate Client, I love to spend time with my family and craft if I have time.
Community Coordinator – Elba Ramirez
Hello, I am Elba Ramirez! I grew up in Mesa and graduated from ASU with a Bachelors in Special Education + Elementary Education. I left the classroom and stayed home to be with my two kids. My oldest Josue is in 3rd grade and my daughter Emma is in 1st. We’re happy and grateful to be here at San Tan in the Spanish Dual Language Immersion program (Y si, yo hablo Espanol!). I believe San Tan has so many amazing things to offer as well as dedicated staff who make it such a great place to learn! I look forward to working with this year’s PTO committee members and meeting more families. If you see me feel free to stop and say hello!

Hi Scorpions. My name is Chelsea Padilla. I am the new San Tan Elementary PTO. I am originally from California and moved to the beautiful state of Arizona a little over 4 years ago. We recently transferred to San Tan in the Fall of 2020 with my two children who are now in 2nd and 5th grade. I am a full time mom, real estate agent, cottage baker, and now PTO Secretary. We are so thankful to be apart of this school and organization. The teachers and staff have been nothing short of amazing since we have arrived. I am excited for all of the fun events and activities we have planned for this year.
