Teacher Appreciation Door Decorating

Hello Room Parents and Friends!

Teacher Appreciation is May 7-11!  We are so excited to be decorating the teacher and staff doors again this year!!!  Everyone, including the students, LOVED seeing the creative ideas last year!  Please sign up to volunteer or ask family members and friends from your child’s class to help.  There are a few changes from last year, so please read the following instructions…

  • Instead of the entire door, we are asking for the butcher paper to be cut 6 feet tall by 2 feet wide.  The measurements will make more of a door “bookmark”.  There will be a sample in the workroom by the paper. This will help with the issue of the doors being different sizes and door handles on different sides.

  • Butcher paper may be picked up any day from the teacher workroom from 7:30-4:00.

  • All other materials are your responsibility (tape, scissors, art supplies, etc.).

  • To limit the disruption of classroom time, we are asking that they be assembled mostly at home, if possible, and then placed on the door either Tuesday, May 1 or Thursday, May 3 from 6-8 PM.  Mimi and Katie St. Clair will be at the school during this time for any assistance.  If you are not able to come during this time Katie can put up your creation for you.  Again, you need to bring tape and any other supplies with you to attach the “bookmark” to the door.

  • Please have children stay home during this time as well.

I have included examples from last year, but keep in mind the size is different…Teacher Appreciation Door Decorating – Google Drive . Be creative, have fun, and ask a friend to help you!!!  Thank you for your help and support!  Please email me with any questions.
