Hello San Tan Scorpions!
We are so excited to be back in person at San Tan. As your PTO we have been working on getting a new design made for our Friday Spirit Day shirts. With the craziness that has come with this school year, we please ask for your patience and understanding.
We love San Tan and want our Spirit Wear to represent our school pride! PTO is working hard to get them designed and ordered. We were really hoping to have them ready this week, but it is taking a little longer than expected. Everyone is anxious to show their school spirit – so continue to wear blue and/or grey and get a sucker!

San Tan PTO
The 2019-2021 PTO met during the 2020 summer break virtually. Here’s our news!
We voted to fulfill teacher wishlist items specifically related to helping them with distance learning. We were able to help out the teachers because of the fundraiser donations received from families in past school years!
We will put everything else on hold until school resumes in-person. We are ready to hit the ground running whenever we are able. In the mean time we wish all of our San Tan community the very best!
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week!
Monday 5/4/20 – Friday 5/8/20
Next week is teacher and staff appreciation week. The PTO has some surprises on the way for our teachers and staff, which we will share next week, but we’d also like to encourage you all to join in on the fun! We have selected theme days for next week to show our teachers and staff how much we all love them. Please feel free to be creative on how you choose to participate in these theme days and have fun! Send an email, mail things to the school, create videos, send photos, make art and show it via photo or video (use any contact methods your teachers are using with you). Monday (5/4/20): Thank you for helping us read! Share your favorite book and tell your teacher/a staff member reasons why you love it.
Tuesday(5/5/20): Thank you for bringing music to our lives! Video your best dance move or sing a song and send it to your teacher/a staff member (you can also post to the San Tan PTO Facebook site and tag teachers/staff).
Wednesday (5/6/20): Thank you for your kindness! Complete an act of kindness in honor of the acts of kindness teachers and staff do everyday for us. Share the story with your teacher or a staff member.
Thursday (5/7/20): Thank you for teaching us to think/express ourselves! Share with your teacher or a staff member learning in action! Write a poem or create a photo collage of your moments learning (before or during quarantine) and send it to your teacher/a staff member.
Friday (5/8/20): We miss and love our teachers and staff! Make a virtual card (or real one) thanking your teacher or a staff member with 3 things you love about them.

Munchkins with Mom is coming on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 7:15 a.m. in the cafeteria. There is no cost to this event and we hope to see you there!
San Tan PTO is excited to announce, Cookies and Milk with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on Monday, December 2nd. This event sells out every year, so make sure to get your ticket early. Tickets are on sale through Tuesday, November 26th or sooner if they sell out. The cost is $10 per family. Fall Carnival is coming Friday, November 15, 2019! Between now and the carnival we will be featuring our raffle prizes and sponsors! Have you downloaded the new Box Tops for Education App? That’s how you can get the new digital box tops to San Tan Elementary. Additionally, Costco is currently running a sweepstakes to award schools with extra Box Tops through September 30, 2019 so don’t forget to scan those receipts after your CostCo or any other store shopping trip!
Attention Parents: Please join us on Thursday, August 1st for Curriculum Night ~ 5:30-7:00 p.m.
PTO will be available to take cash or card for spirit wear and/or our annual $50 fundraiser! Remember, for donations of $100 or more, you will be entered in a raffle for 2 one-day park hopper tickets to Disneyland!
Teachers will be offering three session times available to choose from, each being the same presentation:
- 1st session ~ 5:30-5:55 p.m.
- 2nd session ~ 6:00-6:25 p.m.
- 3rd session ~ 6:30-6:55 p.m
We hope you all can make it!
Please join us for our first General PTO meeting of the year. We will meet in the Conference room (on the right when you enter into the front office) at 8:30 AM on Thursday August 1, 2019.

San Tan is partnering with 1st Day School Supplies Again this year! This is a great way to make school supply shopping hassle free and give back to San Tan at the same time. San Tan received $5 for each school supply kit and we put that money right back into supplies, like paper, for the school. It is also a good way to break up back to school costs since you can purchase your school supply kit now! Supply kits will be available through June 15th. Make sure to choose the kit for the grade level your child will be in for the 2019-2020 school year! To order:
