Last day for school supplies is May 31st!

You only have only a few days left to get the exact supplies your teacher requested delivered right to the school with the name brands you trust and respect from 1st Day School Supplies. The very last day to purchase is Thursday, May 31st.  Order today at http://www.1stdayschoolsupplies.com/kits.php?sid=4012.  Here are few reasons why the kits are beneficial:

– Our teachers approached the PTO a couple of years ago asking if we would look into ordering “school supply kits” for our students and families. The main reason they felt it would be helpful is because often there are specific supplies that the teachers have in mind for their classroom , and it is sometimes hard to find those specific supplies, or they run out of them at the store, or parents just aren’t aware! This opportunity felt like a win-win situation. Teachers get the exact supplies they need in their class, parents don’t have to deal with finding the exact supplies, and they are delivered right to the school!!
–  Our teachers submitted their lists for next year.  The supplies on each grade level’s list are exactly what each grade level needs.
– You don’t have to go to the stores and dig through the supplies
– You don’t have to come home with enough supplies for your 3 kids and then have to sort through them all again!
– When you come to “Meet the Teacher” in July- you will simply walk to the cafeteria, pick up your box of supplies, and drop it off in your teachers class.
– If you purchase your kits NOW- you won’t feel the “financial crunch” as badly when you are purchasing new shoes and clothes etc. for the beginning of the year! You can spread out the expenses!
– San Tan Elementary gets $5 back for every kit ordered!
– We’ve found that most families spend about $50 per kid. These prices are competitive. Some grades lists are a little more, and some a little less- but the convenience is PRICELESS!

Order today at http://www.1stdayschoolsupplies.com/kits.php?sid=4012!

Teacher Appreciation Door Decorating

Hello Room Parents and Friends!
Teacher Appreciation is May 7-11!  We are so excited to be decorating the teacher and staff doors again this year!!!  Everyone, including the students, LOVED seeing the creative ideas last year!  Please sign up to volunteer or ask family members and friends from your child’s class to help.  There are a few changes from last year, so please read the following instructions…
  • Instead of the entire door, we are asking for the butcher paper to be cut 6 feet tall by 2 feet wide.  The measurements will make more of a door “bookmark”.  There will be a sample in the workroom by the paper. This will help with the issue of the doors being different sizes and door handles on different sides.
  • Butcher paper may be picked up any day from the teacher workroom from 7:30-4:00.
  • All other materials are your responsibility (tape, scissors, art supplies, etc.).
  • To limit the disruption of classroom time, we are asking that they be assembled mostly at home, if possible, and then placed on the door either Tuesday, May 1 or Thursday, May 3 from 6-8 PM.  Mimi and Katie St. Clair will be at the school during this time for any assistance.  If you are not able to come during this time Katie can put up your creation for you.  Again, you need to bring tape and any other supplies with you to attach the “bookmark” to the door.
  • Please have children stay home during this time as well.
I have included examples from last year, but keep in mind the size is different…Teacher Appreciation Door Decorating – Google Drive . Be creative, have fun, and ask a friend to help you!!!  Thank you for your help and support!  Please email me with any questions.
